AMPK powered by    UNCLE KID
Lamplig - a spoken word narrative about shopping in Ikea with existential crisis, is the second single from Uncle Kid’s debut EP, ‘Indistinct Chatter’. With accompanying music video he took his social alienation to the woods, teaming up once again with video maker and creative enigma, ‘Electric’ Alan Brown, to create a fittingly stark offering.
Uncle Kid’s dark brand of trip hop with spoken word has received acclaim from the likes of BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson who hailed his previous single, ‘Supermarket Sweep’ as ""a song for our times"", with BBC Scotland’s Vic Galloway describing his sound as “an act that sits somewhere between Arab Strap, Ballboy and Massive Attack.”
Out on Friday 5th November, ‘Lamplig’ will be released alongside the music video, and will feature remixes from: Junkyard Of Silenced Poets / Michael Steele / Jordan Stanley.
